Old Presidents may retire, but they don't fade away. At least not Jimmy Carter. He travels widely, and in the past two weeks has joined Willie Nelson at a gig for the homeless, played host at a conference on Latin America, and been a guest at a seminar on the Middle East. Some observers suspect Carter is angling to head an Arab-Israeli peace conference -- if one takes place -- and beyond that, for the Nobel Peace Prize. Quite a comeback for a man who left the U.S. with the memory of hostages in Iran.
